All
- Operating Hours
- Is this feature available?
- It is only limited to Enterprise Edition and not applicable
for Standard Edition or SMB Edition.
- How it works?
- Assuming you only allow SMS to be sent out between 8am to
8pm.
- Go to
Manage Application Settings
- Update the OperatingFrom & OperatingTo time to 0800 & 2200
- If you have any broadcast job that falls on 9pm, the job
will be queued and only delivered on the next morning
- However, incoming SMS will continue to be read
- Message Delivery Speed
- What is the delivery speed?
- Assuming you are using a GSM modem, the delivery speed is dependent on your mobile network
- The performance can range about 4 - 8 secs per message
- Performance is also subject to the cell traffic at point of
delivery. During peak hours, you'll find throughput performance
is not so good.
- Network congestion during public holidays or catastrophic
events will result in message delivery failure and slow
delivery.
- How can I increase throughput?
- Add additional GSM modem
- However, SMB edition has only 1 modem limitation. You need to upgrade to Standard Edition.
- Besides adding GSM modems, you can use our EasiSMPP
connector to connect via SMPP protocols to service providers
like SMS aggregators or link to your mobile operators.
- You'll need to ask your service provider on their throughput
as different providers have different SLAs and pricing.
